Experiences In AiU

Everyone wishes to get a full scholarship to study abroad and wishes to get a seat in a very good university to get more knowledge and experiences. I really proud and extremely happy that I can get a seat to study in Albukhary International Universty (AiU). This is the second university that I got scholarship to study in. I really fancy to study in AiU than my previous university, even AiU just consists of a small amount of students but they are from different counties all over the world.

AiU is located in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia. This is a very impressive, beautiful and glamorous university. All buildings are very beautiful. If I compare to my previous university, the environment inside and outside AiU is better than. There are more than 700 students from about 50 countries all over the world. By the way, I would like to point out and describe about my experiences in AiU since I’ve been in IEP. I get many knowledge and experiences. I joint many Townhall meeting with different topics that provide me good idea and I can get to know how to settle some problems. More than that I join many activities such as Orientation, Culture Night, Open House,  AiU Sejahtera Market, International Conference days and so on. In detail I would like to describe about the knowledge and experiences that I can get from those activities. Firstly is orientation. This program provided and guided me to know well about rule and regulation in AiU. They taught me how to respect, greet to others and advised me to be very friendly and active. There are many club presidents presented about there clubs and I can evaluate that which club that I should join and which club I shouldn’t. Actually, all those club are very good but I don’t have enough time to join all activities, so this why I had to choose. I could make friends since the first orientation’s day. More than that, I could play many games. All the activities during orientation were very good, I’ll keep in my heart and I’ll use them later on once the situation needed.

Secondly is about culture night and open house. These two activities are very good because there are many countries participated in these programs. On behalf of we are Cambodian students in AiU, we can share our culture to others by performance and showing our traditional clothes, dancing, songs and so on. Moreover, I can know other cultures by their performances. Third is about AiU Sejahtera Market. This program lead me to know how to make business, how to attract people on product, how to earn money and especially we can share our product to all over the world. For international conference days I could get to know many people with high position in differenct countries, institutes or organizations. The essential thing I could know, is about their experiences and how they can get these positions. This also lead me to motivate myself to do not give up and do not rush out in my life because every life remains face with obstacles.

During my early IEP I joint one debate competition which I had never joined since I was young. That was a very great time for me because I could leave my idea, opinion and speech to face with other people. I was in one group with two other guys. We faced with strong groups and we won 2 times in the first and second debate but we lost 1 time in the last round. I wasn’t regret because that was my first time and at least we won 2 times. That time I was very afraid and my body was shaking because of nervous. I told myself to be strong enough and have to feel confident on myself. Beside debate, I also used to donate blood. Nowadays, I join two sport clubs one of them is volley ball. I really have great time and fun in AiU.
